yocjwinterconcert-00005The Flute Choir will perform with YOCJ’s other small ensemble groups at a concert each semester. They have played music written specifically for flutes as well as arrangements of works from the Renaissance through the 21st Century. Repertoire has included a Madrigal by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, an Allegro by Johann Quantz, and James Christensen’s arrangement of Leontovich’s Carol of The Bells. The Flute Choir performed Ralph Vaughan William’s Greensleeves with the String Preparatory Orchestra at the February 2015 concert. YOCJ is looking forward to some exciting new programming for the 2016-2017 Season!
