About The Woodwind Choir

Our Woodwind Choir consists of middle school flute, clarinet, oboe, and bassoon students. Scott Collins is the conductor.

The Woodwind Choir performs with YOCJ’s other small ensemble groups at a concert each semester. Members are also part of YOCJ’s Wind Symphony. The repertoire includes music from classical to modern composers, such as Weep O Mine Eyes by John Bennet (the world premiere arrangement by Thomas Bourgault was given at the December 14, 2014 Small Ensembles concert in Mayo Hall at The College of New Jersey), a Mozart Divertimento arranged by Harry Gee, & Norman Cazden’s Waltz No. 1.

Important Information

  • Wind Symphony rehearses on Tuesdays at 7-9pm.
  • During this timeframe, students will also attend a Woodwind Choir rehearsal.
