In line with YOCJ’s Back to Performing theme, we were thrilled to hold a Spring Residency with world-renowned violin virtuoso Midori! This program was made possible through Midori’s ORP (Orchestra Residencies Program) and the special series “Covid-19 Support Program”. Click HERE for more information.

The Midori Orchestra Residency Program featured several workshops, as well as 2 select virtual ensembles that rehearsed and will perform a virtual online concert with Midori as soloist in a Concertino for Violin and Orchestra by composer Derek Bermel. This new work will feature 3 movements: one for String Orchestra, one for Wind Ensemble and one for solo violin, all conducted by Nell Flanders.
