Rob Kapilow Zoom: Beethoven & The Pandemic

1/12/2021 • 7pm
YOCJ is pleased to present Rob Kapilow – an American conductor, composer, and author: https://www.robkapilow.com/
Rob Kapilow will give a very relevant and interactive FREE Zoom presentation to YOCJ on Tuesday January 12th at 7pm entitled “Beethoven and The Pandemic.” This presentation coincides with Beethoven’s 250th birthday year! This project explores creativity during periods of isolation, and makes parallels between Beethoven composing while being deaf, and our current struggles with separation from one another while social distancing.
Rob Kapilow was featured in a 2017 joint project with WWFM, YOCJ, YOBC, and GPYO at Princeton High School. This concert was a live simulcast on WWFM. The event was one of his signature “What Makes It Great?” events, in this case for Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony.
