The Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey is committed to making sure that all of our concerts are accessible to all of our patrons, and that all of our rehearsals are accessible to all of our students.

BUILDING ACCESSIBILITY:

Our home facility, West Windsor Plainsboro High School North, features accessible parking, sidewalk ramps, entrances, doors, bathroom facilities, braille signage, and accessible seating in the theater. The building has elevators for students who need this access to rehearsals on the second floor. Concerts in our other venues, such as Prince of Peace Church and TCNJ’s Kendall Hall also feature various levels of accessibility.

*The December and April Concerts will be at the Community Middle School.
*The January Concerts will be at Kendall Hall TCNJ.
*The April Chamber Music Recital will be at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
*The May Concerts will be at the West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South.

PARKING:

At West Windsor Plainsboro High School North & West Windsor Plainsboro High School South, patrons can easily be dropped off directly in front of the main entrance. Please notify us, preferably 2 weeks in advance, if you have any special parking needs.

At the both the Prince of Peace Church and the Community Middle School, there are accessible parking spots, near accessible sidewalks.

At TCNJ (Mayo Hall and Kendall Hall) YOCJ has access to Lots # 1, 2, 5, 6, 7. For concerts at Kendall Hall, patrons with accessibility issues should park in Lot #1 for the closest access to Kendall Hall. Please contact us ASAP with any questions: executivedirector@yocj.org.

SERVICES:

YOCJ automatically offers a number of services to accommodate the needs of our patrons:
*large print programs
*digital online programs
*advanced copies of program booklets via email
*website accessibility via the AccessiBe widget

Please contact our YOCJ ADA coordinator, Larisa Epps, by emailing us at executivedirector@yocj.org to request any additional services. Two weeks notice is necessary to accommodate some requests.

ONLINE PROGRAMS:

YOCJ provides online program PDF documents in advance of concert performances. Patrons with vision difficulties can peruse programs ahead of time on their home computers. Please keep in mind that we also provide large print program listings at the ticket table at the venues. One week prior to each concert, PDF program links will be posted here:
