Winter Large Ensemble Concerts

YOCJ will hold the Winter Large Ensemble Concerts on Sunday January 15, 2023
at Kendall Hall, TCNJ

Symphonic Orchestra, featuring Billy Hunter, Trumpet Soloist

YOCJ is pleased to announce that our soloist for the 2022-2023 Season will be Trumpet player Billy Hunter. Mr. Hunter is currently Principal Trumpet with the Metropolitan Opera in New York and Assistant Principal Trumpet with the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra in Chicago. He will be performing the Arutunian Trumpet Concerto with the Symphonic Orchestra, with conductor Kenneth Bean at our Winter Large Ensemble concert in January. Mr. Hunter will also be our Brass clinician at our Spring Brass Masterclass in March. More concert details will be available soon, as well as information on how YOCJ students can audition to perform in the Masterclass. Stay tuned!

Save the Date: Sunday January 15th Panera Fundraiser at TCNJ

Not only is Sunday January 15th the 3pm and 8pm Winter Large Ensemble Concerts at Kendall Hall, TCNJ, but YOCJ will also be holding a Panera Bread Fundraiser right there on campus! Support our restaurant fundraiser between meals and enjoy a fabulous day of music making as well! Stay tuned for more information and the flyer!

 

Ticket Sales Information & More 

1. Tickets go on sale HERE ONLINE starting on Monday January 1st, 8:00am.
2. TCNJ is handling ALL ticket sales which will ONLY be available ONLINE. Patrons will be asked to create a simple account before purchasing tickets. 
3. All YOCJ students are FREE and will all receive a ticket voucher in an upcoming rehearsal, if they wish to attend the other concert that day.
4. Ticket prices:
•Seniors/Students: $23
•Adults: $28
•Children under 5: FREE (need the free online ticket)
•YOCJ students: FREE (need the YOCJ voucher)
•Music Teachers: FREE (need the Promo code from Mrs. Epps to secure complimentary online tickets. Email Mrs. Epps at executivedirector@yocj.org)
5. Tickets are good for BOTH concerts. TCNJ will hand stamp people who wish to return for the other concert.
6. Admission is being handled with E-Tickets – visible on your smartphones. No printouts.
7. On the concert day, tickets will still be sold online. TCNJ ushers will be on hand to assist any patrons purchase their tickets via their smartphones. PLEASE purchase your tickets ahead of time to save yourself time. 
8. Tickets are General Admission. No assigned seats.
9. The Kendall Theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime.
