During this unprecedented time, YOCJ wants to keep the music playing! The Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey hosted a Solo Adjudication Festival in order to give New Jersey students an opportunity to perform, receive constructive critiques from our adjudicators, and receive ratings. Top performers will be featured in our Gold Festival Recital!

SOLO ADJUDICATION FESTIVAL INFORMATION
WHEN: Sunday December 13th
DEADLINE: Registration was closed on Friday November 20th
WHO: Any New Jersey Middle School and High School Orchestral and Band Instrumentalist. Membership in YOCJ is NOT required to participate. Also, students are eligible to participate whether or not they study privately.
MUSIC: Students will perform 1 solo that should not exceed the 10 minute Zoom slot. Students should select a solo that best represents their skills and abilities. All students will need to scan and email a copy of their repertoire to YOCJ for adjudication purposes.
NO PIANO ACCOMPANISTS: Students should NOT use piano accompaniment. This will optimize the ability for the adjudicators to hear the tone, dynamics, and other subtleties of the Zoom performances.
COST: $30 per student
HOW: Live 10 minute Zoom Performances!
ASSESMENT & RECOGNITION: Students will be given Written Critiques based on our Adjudication Rubric. Also, students will be rated as follows: Gold, Silver, and Honorable Mention.
