YOCJ is thrilled to announce that our guest artist for the 2024-25 season is the flutist, Patrick Williams! Mr. Williams was appointed associate principal flutist of The Philadelphia Orchestra in 2018 by Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Mr. Williams is also currently adjunct instructor of flute at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. YOCJ is pleased to present Mr. Williams performing the Reineke Flute Concerto with our Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Kenneth T. Bean, on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at TCNJ’s Kendall Hall. Additionally, Patrick Williams will be our woodwind clinician on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at our Woodwind Masterclass.

Tuesday September 10, 2024 is the next date for our New Student Auditions. A successful audition secures your spot on our roster! Students must register for an audition time online. We will be accepting payment online as well. We look forward to meeting your young, talented musicians!

On Tuesday March 26, there are NO YOCJ rehearsals due to the WWP Spring Break. All WWP school buildings are closed. See you next on Tuesday April 2nd! Let us know if you have any questions!
Join us on Friday June 21 at 7:30pm for an informal Austria Bon Voyage Concert at Community Middle School Theater. Free Admission. Sample some of the fabulous music our ensembles are preparing to take on tour to Vienna, Salzburg and the Esterhazy Palace. The Tour Orchestra, Wind Symphony, and Saxophone Ensemble will be performing works by Beethoven, Haydn, Holst, Strauss, and more!

April 2nd – Ranaan Meyer
Multi Grammy winning, Emmy award winning, and Gold record Double Bassist Ranaan Meyer is most known as a founding member and performer with the string trio Time for Three, Founder and Artistic Director of Honeywell Arts Academy, and as a solo performing artist, composer and educator. He also is an alumnus of The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, Temple Prep, Manhattan School of Music, and the Curtis Institute of Music.
Ranaan Meyer joined the Symphonic Orchestra to perform his first concerto for double bass and orchestra entitled: ‘Concerto for My Family’ (2021) which is his homage to the people who lifted him up all along the way. This performance was on Sunday January 14, 2024 at The College of New Jersey’s Kendall Hall! Mr. Meyer will also host a Performance / Improvisation Workshop for YOCJ on Tuesday April 2nd, 2024.
